William (Bill)ANDERSONPassed away peacefully on New Year's Eve at the age of 98. Bill lived in Butleigh from 1989 to 2018 and more recently in Street with his wife Mary, who died in 2020. He moved to a care home in Bolton in 2021.

Formerly a farmer, Bill was an officer of the Royal Observer Corps until his retirement. He was an active member of the community enjoying bell-ringing, bird-watching and bowling.

A memorial service will be held at Mendip Crematorium on Monday 17th February at 11.30 am to celebrate Bill's life. His children Hilary, David and Brian will be at the service.

Donations in lieu of flowers are invited for the National Autistic Society and can be made via funeral-notices.co.uk or cheques made payable to the charity forwarded to Forsey and Son Funeral Directors, Willowfields, Lowerside Lane, Glastonbury, BA6 9GY.
